#1 Measure your space
Before you start planning, it is important to measure the space and mark all possible obstacles. The measurements will be the base for your new IKEA kitchen.#2 Create a plan
Now it’s time to make your dreams and ideas take shape. Outline your kitchen and see what it will look like, using our free online Kitchen planning program.#3 Order furniture
When you have finished planning and are sure about your choice, send your project to our consultants. They will go through your plan to make sure everything fits. Afterwards, you can place your order right there and then if you like.#4 Install and enjoy
The last step before using the kitchen is to install it. Assembling and installing the kitchen is a big project, therefore you can do it yourself or call us for help!
How to measure
You can order our Measuring service:- Order Measuring service in store or by email virtuves@ikea.lv
- We will prepare and send you all of the payment information.
- Payment for the Measuring service will be refunded after you purchase the kitchen.
You can measure the kitchen yourself:
- Create a floor plan of the room and enter all dimensions (height, width, depth) in mm.
- Not all angles in a room are always right-angled. Keep this in mind when creating your floor plan.
- Start by measuring from the floor to the ceiling, then measure the distance between walls.
- Draw doors and windows on the floor plan.
- Mark the positions and dimensions of electrical outlets, radiators, ventilation shafts, doors, windows, etc.
How to plan
You can plan the kitchen yourself:
- Think about how you use your kitchen, what feels comfortable for you, and what you want to store there.
- Open our online Kitchen planning program and answer the first questions.
- Enter the dimensions of your kitchen and note possible obstacles (windows, entrances, etc.)
- Try different combinations and create your kitchen plan in 2D or 3D format.
Apply for a consultation at the store
- Start your project online with our Kitchen planner.
- Make sure you have your project and all the needed measurements of your kitchen. If you are unsure about the measurements, you can apply for our measuring service. The price paid for the measuring service will be returned when ordering an IKEA kitchen.
- Choose time and book a consultation at the store if you have any questions or need our help. The duration of the consultation is 45 minutes, and it is free of charge.
- Adjust the kitchen project with the help of our planning specialists. When adjusting an existing project, you will need access to your Kitchen planner user account.
How to order
You can order the new kitchen remotely:- Send your kitchen plan to us by email virtuves@ikea.lv
- We will go through your plan and make sure that everything fits.
- Then, we will send you a list of products you’ll need and instructions on how to purchase them.
Or you can visit the store:
- Come to the store with your login and password.
- Head to the Kitchens department.
- We will revise the plan and set up your order.
How to install
You can order our Kitchen installation service:- When ordering the Kitchen installation, Measuring service is required.
- The price of the service includes labour service, assembly and appliances installation.
You can install the new kitchen yourself:
- Before you begin: turn off the electricity, water, and gas. It is best to have the installation of the new devices carried out by a specialist.
- Go through your purchases and make sure you have received every item that was on the order list.
- Pick up the kitchen installation guide at your local IKEA store or download it from our website.
- Follow the assembly instructions that are included in all product packaging.
