Wooden house constructor DEKO wanted to show all possibilities that a summer cottage offers. In cooperation with IKEA a demo house was nicely equipped and furnished. Welcome to a wooden summer cottage Vigo with a rational floor plan!
About the project
Wooden summer cottage is located on the company’s exposition site. While working on this model one of the main tasks was to use construction area up to 25 square meters as rationally as possible. Furniture and interior accessories are fundamental to help potential inhabitants imagine themselves spending summers in such a house. That is where IKEA stepped-in.

Despite the total areas is only 25 square meters, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a lounge area fit in the summer cottage perfectly. That is possible owing to a thought-out plan and professional interior design. Above the bedroom there is an area that owners can use according to their needs – workation or extra beds for guests.
Light tones make the space feel bigger, linen curtains add an airy feeling and pictures on the wall make one feel at home. Natural materials and minimalism are perfect choice for a summer cottage. They add to a holiday vibe and help to enjoy what truly matters – fresh air and distance from the busy daily routine.
