There will be music, laughter, fun games for every family member and of course lots of various balls. Butterflies in stomach? There’s certainly space for some tasty IKEA meatballs, veggie and plant balls prepared in new and exciting ways.
Musicians from bands Audiokvartāls, Laime pilnīga, children pop bands and DJ Cimmis will boost your mood. Illusionist Edzus will perform magic tricks. Interviews, coverage and insights from the very heart of Ball festival will be broadcasted on site by the radio STAR FM studio.

What a perfect day
Have a look at the programme and plan your perfect day. We will start at noon with a warm-up with Pippi Longstocking. All day long the host of the festival Kristaps Tālbergs will offer various contests with possibility to win nice and useful prizes from IKEA. Radio STAR FM DJ's will interview the chef of the festival and musicians, so everyone can get a sneak-peak into the backstage. On Saturday the party will go on until 8 p.m. but only to have a short break and pick up on Sunday from where we left off.
Great musicians and festive mood
On Saturday, June 8, you will have the opportunity to listen to the musical performance of the band “Audiokvartāls” as well as children pop bands.On Sunday, June 9, stage will be given to the Latvian rock band Laime pilnīga and illusionist Edzus.
Festival host on both days will be Kristaps Tālbergs, a long-time IKEA friend from the TV show Home idea with IKEA. And Pippi Longstocking will encourage us to enjoy some movement in a dance masterclass. On Saturday, special Ball festival coverage will be provided by radio STAR FM that will broadcast from IKEA.
Chef of the Ball festival
To treat you with something special, we have found the right person who knows every detail about IKEA meatballs. This year, chef of the festival will be head of IKEA Food Department Oleg Sorochin. For many years Oleg has worked at word-class hotels and served meatmeals to numerous guests. In the Ball festival Oleg will serve dishes with the famous IKEA balls specially for you. Those will be unique recipes that you will have an opportunity to taste at the festival and later cook at home too.
Games and atractions
IKEA Ball festival is no ordinary festival and there will be some extraordinary activities. Enjoy huge soap bubbles and challenge your coordination in a dance with Pippi Longstocking. Kids will be more than happy to get a glitter tattoo and use their energy in the bounce house. See you soon!
