“You will find our building in many of Riga’s Art Noveau guides, because together with neighbouring buildings it creates one of the biggest and most impressive National Romanticism style building ensembles in Riga. National Romanticism is a form of Art Noveau style and it was popular in Nordic countries during the late 19th and early 20th century. It’s idea was to adjust Art Noveau style to local traditions, so Latvian architects created their own vision of the style, combining the elements, shapes and ornaments from Latvian traditions."
