Family-owned enterprise svaigi.lv is an online food platform selling production of Latvian farmers. After seven years of working at the same premises, owners of svaigi.lv decided to renovate kitchen area and utilize the room that was previously used mainly for storage. Now it is a space where to welcome suppliers and hold meetings.
About the project
Guest reception area is one of the first things that characterizes the enterprise and welcomes clients, suppliers and potential partners. The set-up of space can improve client experience, therefore it is important to create pleasant atmosphere and mood that fosters inspirational chats between company employees and their guests or clients. IKEA business interior designer completely transformed storage room into a multifunctional area and changed the layout of the kitchen zone. Now the family business has a place to organize meetings with partners, welcome clients or gather employees.
"As the areas before the makeover didn’t say much about our company, the main motive of interior designers team was to create a room that would tell the story of our enterprise. We wanted to make it more personal, and I think that the designer made her best to do so," says Elīna Novada, owner of svaigi.lv.
An interior that tells a business story
The very svaigi.lv business philosophy dictated the choice of most interior solutions. Materials and colours in the room are nature and countryside inspired and professionally adjusted to corporate style. Most walls are green - not only it matches the company's corporate colour and logo, but also represents green living.
Designer created a photo gallery that tells the story of svaigi.lv. Also, it is a perfect background for video meetings and conference calls. Another wall is decorated with mirrors which is a great trick to add an extra dimension to the room and make it look bigger.
“Choice for furniture and accessories was inspired by warm earth tones. Natural materials, coziness and home-like feeling in business premises is the trend now. It is hard to tell inspirational stories when premises are cold and lack cosiness. Now this place represents the business and the owners,” says IKEA businesses interior designer.
