A kitchen to fall for
Meet Jūlija and Edgars – a couple leading a harmonious life in the quiet village of Upeslejas, in an apartment they bought about 10 years ago and have owned ever since. As both are great travellers, at some point there was a hard decision to be taken – to return to Latvia or to stay and live somewhere else. At the end, they decided to come back. As they returned, they saw that the daily wear and tear had taken its toll on the interior and decided to give it a fresh start. However, it proved to be not easy and the kitchen was an especially sore point.
A bedroom and a nursery in one
As a family grows, the bedroom often takes on the function of a nursery. It is convenient for the parents as they do not need to go far in those sleepless nights and nice for the baby as it feels safe in this small world.
One room, many functions
Dace and Benjamin met about 7 years ago in USA and were brought together by a music project. Since moving to Latvia they have bought an apartment in Ogre and styled it the best they could but would like some change. In this apartment, IKEA interior designer Elīna will face the challenge of fitting many functions in one small room, as it is used for working, resting, playing and storing.
So many needs, just one room: makeover in a small bedroom
It is quite easy to decorate spacious rooms as there, the only limit is the fantasy. But to decorate a small space so it would be comfortable? It is a much more difficult task. "Home Idea with IKEA" visits a family of six and the room awaiting makeover is a bedroom for the smallest of three children and his mother. IKEA Interior Designer Kristīne already mastered a small space challenge in the last season and is not afraid to wage it again!

This time, there will be no makeover in four walls. And why is that? Because there will be a makeover of a room with just one wall! We are taking our makeover outside and renovating a summerhouse terrace for a young family. Look and see for yourself how an improvised living area outside turns into a functional haven for the warmer months of the year.

This time, IKEA Interior Designer Ieva visits the crisis centre "Burtnieks", where a most important space is longing for a new lease of life – a room where creative workshops are held every day under the guidance of the energetic, optimistic Raimonda. Creativity is at a boiling point here, but Raimonda admits that there is so much of it that it takes a lot of time each day to organise the supplies.
