The Hobby Room Challenge
This time, "Home Idea with IKEA" will transform a room in Ķekava – home town of a passionate seamstress and an all-round craftswoman Santa. Santa lives together with her young son and her husband in a house that was built and renovated step by step. The room awaiting the makeover was once the family bedroom, but now that the second storey of the can be used it has slowly morphed into a guest bedroom, a laundry room and, above all, a hobby room for Santa. A lot of studies, including IKEA "Life at Home" 2019 report have shown, that hobbies are a way of recharging and relaxing. In the artsy neighbourhood of Āgenskalns in Riga, live Signe Folka and Edgars Folks. They are a couple of artists who have found both their hobby and their profession in art. Their daughter Elīza was the one who applied for the IKEA makeover as she feels that her father's studio is in dire need of professional help.
