An island of peace in a bustling city

“Home idea with IKEA”: several generations under one roof
It often happens that life and family situations change and several generations find themselves living under one roof. This is the case in the Eglītis family, where the grandmother, is welcomed to live in the family home of Gunta. Although the house is spacious, the family has not managed to furnish a separate room: there is a room, but it has served mostly as a storage room, and it has not been freed from clutter to create a cosy living space for the grandmother.

The space to become a storage and family gathering space, faces different challenges: lack of space, humidity from the sauna and limited daylight from the single small window.
