IKEA PS 2002
If you prefer me-time over social interactions and the food is not a priority, it would seem that half of the popular summer activities, such as barbecue parties are off the table. But have you ever considered gardening? It doesn't require much effort and gives back a lot. And we have everything you need to get started!
A new season of "Home Idea with IKEA" has started! In the kick-off episode IKEA Designer Ieva faces a most challenging task – a makeover in a room for both children and young adults to feel good, to spend time alone or together, to read and to play games. Limbaži Special school breaks stereotypes about special education schools. The headmistress accents the great attitude of children and parents as well as the enormous patience of teachers. She is convinced that the atmosphere in the school is far cry from what one would think to have in a boarding school. "Home Idea with IKEA" comes up with great ideas for the room where children can have some peace, read magazines or play board games.
Last but not least – this time, "Home idea with IKEA" season's grand finale takes place in a one bedroom apartment in the picturesque town of Sigulda. The owner Ruta lives here for about seven years already, and her daughter Linda felt it was time for a makeover. She applied to the IKEA TV show in hope to give her beloved mother a more comfortable and more colourful home and luck was on her side! IKEA Interior Designer Kristīne has more up her sleeve than a simple makeover of one room. She is planning to renovate the whole apartment!
IKEA “Life at Home” research shows that based on our experience of life at home during 2020, 35% of Latvians are now dreaming to have a garden or outdoor space at home. Not everyone owns a terrace or balcony, but that doesn't mean that one cannot have a piece of nature at home. Get inspired with five ideas our interior designer is happy to share.
In the 8th episode of "Home idea with IKEA" it is all about a kitchen that is so much more than just a kitchen. In this centre of group apartments and workshop premises, kitchen is a place for eating and for cooking and also for celebrating together, socialising and at times learning new skills together. The one who invited IKEA team was Olga, who works with teaching the principles of healthy eating to the inhabitants.
Unused (and perhaps unusual) spaces can be put to smart use for storage at home. You just need to find them. Under the sofa? Behind the bed? In the window? Or perhaps choose new furniture that has extra storage built in.
Few things make a bedroom come alive like the freshness of green. Bedroom plants – real and artificial – with matching bed linen and details like floral glassware and other decorations are a wonderful way to spruce things up.
