“My home with IKEA” gives a bright new beginning
Meet the first heros of the TV project “Manas mājas ar IKEA”. In the family of four, the children room needed rearranging for it was suitable for one, but now it has to be a multifuctional living space for two. The girls' room in the making. IKEA interior designer Ieva is always full of ideas, and she is up for the task.
Furnishing starts with questions
The true beauty of home furnishing is the diversity of our customers, as well as diverse tastes and sense of style. Also the financial reach of households vary. Therefore no bedroom is alike. IKEA interior designers suggest starting furnishing by asking oneself questions. Light of dark? With a wardrobe or chests of drawers? Is the room just for sleeping? Before shopping, think through the layout of the entire room and measure it well.
A child or a young adult?
When your child is on the verge of becoming a teenager, it is often a turning point for the interior. Toys disappear over time and the child is ready to take make up his or her mind about the colours and furniture to be used. Multifunctional furniture is great as it will always outlast things meant for specific ages.
The lucky four
In the 3rd episode of the 3rd season of "Home idea with IKEA" we'll be visiting a happy family of four. For a long time, they were only a family of three, but were recently joined by the newest member – a little ray of sunshine named Alīna. The decision to welcome another child in the family was taken already some time ago, but the possibility for that arose unexpectedly so the room had to be prepared within a couple of days. The family dotes on Alīna and gives her all they can but improving of her room has been somewhat neglected in the light of much needed creation of a close relationship and other more urgent matters. An exciting task for the IKEA Interior Designer Līva – creation of a real home for a small and active girl.

This big-city crew traded the concrete jungle for a calmer, fresher life in the countryside. With nature as their next-door neighbour, their safe and welcoming country home is where their three small children have the freedom to learn, play and thrive. And just be kids!
